"The ultalight scenes are exciting and accurate. The novel is real and gripping."
- John Kemmeries - World renowned ultralight instructor, Peoria, Arizona

And the Lure, as ever, is Gold.
Brian Nichols, tempted by an old legend, decides to give it a
try. He learns about the Lost Dutchman mine. He prepares,
learns to fly an ultra light aircraft, acquires a GPS unit,
and sundry other aids. He decides to scout to the east and
north of where everyone else has looked. He comes upon a box
canyon that interests him and decides that a look on foot
would be worthwhile. Brian is spotted and gets killed on his
way home by Butch and Charlie.
Meanwhile, in the USA, there is a growing problem with the
supply of beef. Three Texans, Murphy, Plover and Burleson
are profiting. They have the antidote to the virus that is
making the cows sterile, thus limiting the supply of meat.
The President is frantic, as there is a real danger of riots
and much discontent in the nation. Plus, there is a heat
wave adding to the misery.
To top all of this, there is a group run by a General Boone
called the New Revolution Militia. They have a hidden agenda.
This group is a pyramid and divided into cells. At the apex
is the Sheriff, Saunders; the Coroner, Blackwell; henchmen,
Charlie, Butch, Jasper and Bubba; Major Wheeler; and the
three Texans, Murphy, Plover and Burleson.
After Brian's death, his nephew, with the armed forces in
Saudi Arabia, comes home for the funeral. He meets Laurie
Beth McCarthy, the coroner's secretary and they team up.
They will see where Brian's maps lead them. And it leads
them to the box canyon and a mine entrance.
This author, Tom Geldermann, juggles the three components of
his story with finesse. He skillfully weaves the threads of
his tale and one follows with much anticipation. He is a
master storyteller. I would recommend this book with no
hesitation. I was captivated.

Maneuvering his ultralight over the rough and rugged Superstition Mountains in Arizona, Brian Nichols is on a hunt to find the legendary Lost Dutchman's Mine. He's unaware of being watched as he closes in on it. So sets the stage for The Lure of the Dutchman.
Later a man is found dead alongside a road in Tortilla Flat. The coroner determines he died of a heart attack.
Lauri Beth, the coroner's assistant, is suspicious. Enlisting the help of Kevin, a member of the U. S. Special Forces, they decide to do a little investigating on their own.
Soon all hell breaks loose ...
Working feverishly trying to put the pieces together, Kevin and
Lauri Beth become the hunted. And what a hunt it is!
The vivid scenes depicted will make you feel you're right there.
You actually want to grab out and take part!
Within the plot are several subplots which get your adrenaline working overtime. The colorful writing is crisp and taut, and the author manages to bring everything together in the haunting ending.
Highly recommended!
