3-D Cover for Vector

"After finishing Stephen's debut novel, you'll be left wondering whether a sequel will follow!" ActionTales.com

If you like stories with high-powered, military action against hostile aliens and other humans that are questionable on whose side they're on...if you enjoy highly technological explanations that creatively apply scientific principles...if you've ever wondered how you'd respond if Earth were suddenly taken over by an unconquerable alien force...you'll thoroughly enjoy Vector.

From a review by Jeanne Allen

The year: 2078.

A group of international explorers is cryogenically suspended for transportation to a distant planet.

Simultaneously, a virulent plague hits earth wiping out over 1/2 the population ...

Fast forward to 2149.

After desperately digging and clawing their way out of the destroyed 500-feet-deep military installation, our explorers enter a wild and explosive new order of life on earth. What's happened ...?

Ferocious, hideous bug-like aliens are everywhere. And they're out to conquer the earth using their mindboggling machines!

The explorers launch a search for human survivors. Deploying extremely high-tech weapons and vehicles, they valiantly fight their way to what they thought was a safe human settlement.

There's plenty of intense action in this sci-fi adventure. However, I felt a slight slow-down in the second half of the book. Time to catch my breath?

I'm excited with the prospect of reading Stephen's second novel. Great things are sure to follow. I just bet there may be a sequel in the making!

Well done and believable debut sci-fi novel.

Review
In 2149, an international team of six explorers awakens naked, in the dark, and clueless as to the horrors that have transpired on Earth during the 70 years they slept in cryogenic suspension. It seems that an alien race of insects has spread a plague across the face of the planet and devastated more than half of the population. The explorers grope their way up through an underground building gone mad with alien plant and animal life, and insects. They face a huge mechanical combot controlled by an artificial brain made of intelligent worms. And when they reach the surface, things really start to get difficult.

If you like aliens, dialog and action, you'll enjoy this unique story about a possible future. Maybe you'll even learn a thing or two about surviving an alien invasion...

A great read and a lot of fun. Recommended.

ACTION...ADVENTURE...AND YES, EVEN ROMANCE!

Vector by Stephen J. Schrader is a gripping, page- turning Sci-Fi thriller.

Schrader has written a fast paced Military Science Fiction novel that is right up there with some of the biggest names being published today! But, unlike so many Military Sci-Fi authors, Schrader doesn't bore or bog the flow of the story with science and military explanations. Rather, he weaves the information within the story with skillful artistry.

Vector starts with seasoned military vet William Griffon waking from Cryo-sleep in the cold dark. What was only to be a pre-launch test quickly becomes a life and death struggle. Griffon and his team of experts soon find themselves in a world filled with creatures and perils that make your worse nightmares seem like daydreams.

The action is non-stop and exciting, but it's the characters; from Griffon the confident Team Leader to the ever inventive Fineous, that make the story jump off the pages.

The ending leaves you yelling for MORE! And more is the sequel, Virus. Can't wait to read it!

"... I've got to say in my opinion, the ending was awful, which is a shame as I was enjoying the book up to that point."

Comment from a Reader:

"I read Vector and was quite impressed. This is fast paced adventure scifi at its best. The book is a well thought out action novel, where everybody has an angle. My only question is when will the sequel be released?"
